Well travelled photographers are acutely aware that the Magic of Light does not fall kindly on everyone. Below find one or two humanitarian charities where a donation however small might just help redress the balance a little:

Médecins Sans Frontières

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical organization that delivers emergency aid to people in many countries affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters or excluded from healthcare. MSF relies on donations to ensure its independence from political, religious and economic interests.

Save the Children

Save the Children fights for children's rights worldwide and aims to deliver immediate and lasting improvements to their lives - particularly those suffering from poverty, disease, injustice and violence. Its work ranges from emergency relief to long-term development with a view to providing a happy, healthy and secure childhood.

Shelterbox

Based in Cornwall, Shelterbox provides survival kits to homeless victims of natural disasters and conflict. Each kit (box) contains shelter, bedding, cooking and other equipment for ten people. Boxes are distributed to disaster zones by local Rotary Clubs and relief organisations.
